In order for your app to be able to publish something to a user's news or mini-feed, the user must install the application, or take some kind of action within it. For example, let's say that you own a gift application, which enables users to send simple presents to their friends. This way, when a user sends one gift to another user, it's really like they're sending an invitation to your app to all of their other friends, since they may see the original user's actions on their news feed! This is the stuff viral apps are made of!Here's an example of an app that does a good job of promoting itself through the mini-feed: ![]() So the idea is publish as many mini-feed updates as you can get away with, which is essentially free exposure for your application. Facebook frequently updates their policy on mini-feed updates, so be sure to read up at the Facebook Developer's page. Read more about how to utilize Facebook's mini-feed here! |
